This is a collection of sounds I recorded during the last Songkran holidays. The sounds come from various places in the south of Thailand, including Chumpon, Ranong, and Suratthani. All of the sounds were married with driving rhythms, melodic basslines, and other elements that make dance music exciting. Weena and Pongsa Choonaem hosted me in their home at that time and brought me with them in their local travels. They also told me about the Treebank Project, which has been another source of inspiration for the album. All of the voices featured on the album are our various dialogues between myself and this gracious couple. Furthermore, the track Freedomstream features the voice of Remy Brouzet, who I had the pleasure of spending some time with. He is the friend and yoga teacher of Weena. I appreciate all of the participants including the people who shared their voice, the beez and birds who also did so, the sound of water, leaves, branches, rocks, the sounds of a market, thunder, rain, a few other animals, and more.
